Job Description

Position Objective

Ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) activities are executed accurately, consistently, and in strict compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.


Role Summary

The Quality Inspector serves as the final checkpoint for product and documentation prior to release. This role requires a strong understanding of internal manufacturing processes, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to quality excellence. Every part, assembly, and document represents the collective work of the organization, and the Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all output meets established standards.


Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Compliance

  • Verify product compliance with engineering drawings, purchase orders, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with company Quality Procedures.

Receiving Inspection

  • Inspect off-the-shelf items using technical data sheets and catalogs.
  • Review supplier certifications, inspection reports, and test reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform inspection of customer-furnished materials (CFM).
  • Maintain receiving inspection records for all incoming materials, parts, and components.
  • Identify shelf-life controlled items, apply expiration controls, and maintain shelf-life logs.

In-Process & Final Inspection

  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure conformance to drawings, routers, and specifications during production.
  • Conduct final inspections to confirm compliance prior to release.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete AS9102 documentation as required.

Documentation & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate and organized quality records, including:
    • Supplier inspection, test, and certification documents
    • Inspection and test acceptance/rejection results
  • Ensure all quality documentation is complete, traceable, and audit-ready.

Calibration & Measurement

  • Perform internal calibrations on measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments, including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Gauges
    • Rulers and other inspection tools
  • Apply knowledge of decimal and fractional measurements to ensure accuracy.

Additional Duties

  • Support continuous improvement efforts and quality initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Rate:

$18.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
